Custom Aircraft

I have over 10 years of building Experimental aircraft and components so I feel I have developed a pretty good eye for what works, and what doesn’t.  Building an airplane with someone can be compared to a marriage I suppose.  You both need to be committed for the long run to see the project to completion, through its ups and downs and great expense.  If that can be accomplished, the results are something to be enjoyed and very proud of.  I have been fortunate to have been involved with some great customers who understand this process and the result are some truly amazing airplanes which I have featured above and in the gallery section.  I cannot take credit for the entire build on every aircraft shared, but I will say I was essential to many of their successes.  Below are some firewall forward installations I’ve completed.

Another area where I have spent a considerable amount of time is instrument panels and avionics.  The time required to design a layout, plan for all of the required systems, and last but not least to wire the entire panel is a task that shouldn’t be taken lightly. Often times this is one of the larger projects in an experimental aircraft.  Below are a few of the instrument panels I’ve designed and built.

One of the interesting parts about building is that you must become an expert on so many different tasks required to complete an airplane.  Those tasks range from bodywork to hydraulics, electrical to engines, aerodynamics to interior, it is a long list of things to complete, and complete well.  This is where experience has a lot of value.  First flight and Phase one testing is very important.  The airplane isn’t done until it has completed phase one in my opinion.  Below are some flight test videos I’ve shot over the years and a couple fun ones.

Being a rather small shop, I am often presented projects which are interesting to me but are not on a realistic time frame to complete.  I wish I could do more, but I am best to remain true to my existing work which often spans years.  Please contact me to discuss your project but know going in that quality work doesn’t get completed overnight, nor come for free.
